Viking, known for river cruising have got an ocean going fleet of new, all-veranda, state-of-the-art smaller ships. Each identical elegant sister ship carries only 930 guests in a modern Scandinavian design and is deliberately of a size that allows direct access into many ports that larger ships cannot enter. When on a larger ship berthed next to one in the Caribbean the comedian that night referred to it as a little river cruiser that must have got lost, but are they more a David to that Goliath?
Veranda standard is 270 sq. ft. with 24hr room service and wi-fi. Purified water is refilled daily. Each room has 42″ flat-screen LCD TV and a King-size Viking Explorer Bed with luxury linens. The Deluxe Veranda gives you much of the same but an hour earlier access to your room on embarkation, and some priority booking privaelges. The Penthouse Veranda is a larger room at 338 sq. ft. and yet another hour earlier access to your room on embarkation and some other small luxuries as well as in-suite binoculars, coffee maker & cashmere blanket.
