Bordeaux, in France, is famous for wine. The historic streets are used as Paris in period films. In our Bordeaux city film, we see them changing the shopfronts so it double for Paris in 1830 for a Polish film Chopin, Chopin. We taste Vegan food, and wine, and see the mirror of water. We end up un the Wine Museum by the lifting bridge. Tours available in Bordeaux include Wine Tours by Bicycle! We cycle to Saint Emilion.
Let Jean show you Bordeaux, and we show you where to stand to get that classic mirror of water picture. We will also show you a Vegan restaurant where they do terrific tacos, and a view of the Gothic Saint Michel church built between the 14th and 16th century. The 114 m high bell tower referred to as “La Fleche’ or The Spire stands in front of it and undergoing work.
Bordeaux is more of a river cruise destination than an ocean cruise, although some smaller ships will take you there. Bordeaux may be offered as a tour from the port de Bordeaux-Verdon at the mouth of the River Gironde, or from La Rochelle.

In our second film, we are off to Saint Emilion on the north bank. There, we experience The Best Of Saint Emilion Bordeaux With Wine Tour and Lunch By Bicycle! We e meet with legendary Jacques Capemourlin of the Chateau Balestard-la-Tonnelle, a grand cru classé wine producer. We tour the cellar and see how they prune their vines. Château Balestard La Tonnelle has a unique wine bottle label. It is inscribed with a poem from the Middle Ages by François Villon, which has been on the label since the 19th century. It is a poem by François Villon who praises the merits of Balestard’s wine, speaking of it as a divine nectar. In that period it was very rare to express your feelings. Villon was always haunted by death, but wine made him forget his neurosis. From the terrace you can see the watchtower of the Château Balestard La Tonnelle. The XVth century tower was part of the defence system of the city of Saint-Emilion.
Rustic wines also took us to visit Chateau de Chambrun on the parcel Lalande de Pomerol, and we see the wine-making method, and the cellar, and then have lunch. See the film.
There is so much to do, plan your days in Bordeaux.
