Roses is in the Costa Brava, in Catalonia, Spain.
The monastery Santa Maria de Roses is mentioned in a document of the year 944, Roman remains have been found from the 2nd Century, Greek in the 5th and 8th centuries. The Puig Rom Visigoth military camp dates back to the last part of the 6th century or beginning of the 7th century and is Roman remains. It is in the Puig Rom mountain, 229 metres above sea level, offering fantastic panoramic views. see tours. But most of the things on offer will be caves and the coastline.
