The Seabourn Odyssey’s keel was laid in early July 2007, from then on, she was to give the name to the Odyssey Class of ships. She was the first new ship for Seabourn in over a decade and the start of a new era. Luxury cruising was to take major steps forward. 450 guests over 11 decks, with two pools and six whirlpools. The Odyssey has a private diamond showroom. Nearly all of the ship’s suites have private verandas. The Odyssey features a built-in marina. The Retreat features a nine-hole mini golf course, a giant chess board and shuffleboard. Her first sister ship, Seabourn Sojourn, was launched in 2010.
In December 2017, the ship underwent a six-day refit in the Bahamas to upgrade the staterooms, The Colonnade, the Panoramic Observation Bar, The Club, & Grand Salon.
We have a Seaboard chat site now. It might not be as fast to fill as some others, but cruising is for everyone, and this is what dreams are made of.
