Nouakchott is the port in Mauritania, where drones are illegal. So is alcohol, atheism, and sexual deviation. It is a rarely travelled to country but has an easy entry from Morocco. It is next to the Western Sahara. It sits between Morocco and Senegal.
Many governments say ‘considered your need to travel’. The red zones are dangerous for kidnapping etc. The port is not near a red zone, and those who are there suggest they feel safe.
The museum has artefacts, silver is a local material for crafts. Embroidery is big and fisherman’s beach is interesting. Take a guide!!!!
