Just doing some maths – assume 35 new ships in the early 2020s or so, 35 x 3000+ guests x 40 weeks (some stay for two weeks) – there is a need for over five million new cruisers a year and we estimate 50,000 trained crew. The best crew will flock to the ships that pay and tip the best. Plus there is still a need to fill current ships, and this is a conservative figure.

The keel was laid on 15th November, 2017, at the STX France shipyard in St Nazaire where the coin ceremony took place at the keel laying. That means it will be done in two years! Because the inaugural cruise is set for November 16, 2019, in the Mediterranean. It will visit Civitavecchia for Rome, Palermo (Sicily), Valletta, Barcelona and Marseille.
