You already have a smartphone, so now you start your free book library. The Kindle App works great on a smartphone. The Amazon App works great on a smartphone. But neither like to let you purchase and own Kindles, or download free books, as they would prefer you use Kindle Unlimited. But, there is a way. There is a workaround.
Not only can you purchase books, but you can get free books. These are not old public domain books, but new free 5-star and 4-star books.
FREE – a word you don’t often hear.
How often do you look at your smartphone? I only ask the question because one source suggests people do around 400 times a day. When on transport people are fixed to the screen. If they are wearing headphones, they are watching TV or a movie, if they are not, they are reading a book (or newspaper). Your smartphone can store loads of books and change the font size just as a Kindle does. With the Kindle app on your smartphone, it becomes the perfect cruise travel companion.
- On your smartphone, tablet, etc, go to the app store and download the Free Amazon Kindle App.
- Open – then add in your email address and details that you use for your Amazon account.
- The books you have bought can be seen in the Kindle library straight away, and they can be downloaded to your phone and read whenever. There is a way to get free books that I will detail later.
- Books are bought through Amazon, not purchased within the Kindle App.
- Also, they cannot be purchased within the Amazon App on a smartphone. Here is the workaround. Open Amazon using Safari, Chrome, or another platform, do not use the app. Put in your details, and purchase the Kindle, it appears. Hope this helps.
- Where are the new books that are free? Sign up for the Kindle email list and they tell you of free and discount offers. Also, book clubs like Goodreads and https://onlinebookclub.org/botd-sign-up.php both have offers and give free books most weeks.

Just click on the normal page. The free books are free, but the purchase is the normal way, when they say free, they are free. When they say Free with Unlimited it is free for library members. Actual free books to download to your library will have a window that is almost always only five days long. If you see a new book free, download it.
But, there is a trick to it as Stuart tells you in the video.
Again, if you can’t ‘buy’ it for free using Kindle or Amazon APPS on your phone, it is because they don’t always allow Kindle purchases. Maybe, to stop the free books and try and make use of the library. But you can buy and own it for free. Here is how to do it. If you use the Kindle app on your Fire tablet, iOS, or Android device, buying a book is a little different. You can’t buy a Kindle book directly from the Kindle app or Amazon app on the smartphone like you can on a computer. Instead, open the Amazon website in a browser on your iPhone and find Cruise Ship Heist. Select the free Kindle purchase option and ‘buy it’ it will register free only if bought today or during this promotion. This goes for any Book Of The Day free promotions.
