St Georges, Grenada – a wonderful harbour with much to discover

At the southern end of the Caribbean Sea are the Windward Islands and between Tobago and the Grenadines, which includes St Vincent and Bequia we find the welcoming island of Grenada, a firm favourite.

Grenada offers a nice town, lakes, hikes, a rain forest and beaches. Best of all it is an island of wonderful people. It has a great bus service on which you will meet and chat with locals on the way to the most stunning beaches in the world.

We have great film reports of most Caribbean islands and this is no exception. The capital of St George’s has a protected bay flanked by two forts and circled by colourful French colonial buildings making it both a joy to walk around and a favourite with all the cruise operators during the Caribbean season. In our town guide, we find everything from shell salesman, Alan to a Chocolate Museum. We also have a separate video on how to get to the beach on a local bus – easy! Welcome to the Spice Island.

See the film on Grenada’s most popular beach, ANSE BEACH and how to get there.

Research your destination by looking at the best of what the local experts offer.

Do you want to know what to expect from the rain forest excursion? It is the same as the one offered in St Lucia. See here.
