The Fred Olsen ships may be smaller than many on the seas but they still entertain families. They do offer a Little Skippers Club for children aged between 5 and 11 years old, but this may only be during peak holiday seasons. An interpretation of this might be during expected school holidays. Travelling with children outside these periods may mean the facility is less or not running. Always check.
The ships do not offer baby sitting and children under five are able to go to the club but the parent must be with them at all times. The cannot be left alone in the club under the age of five. A small friendly team of hosts and hostesses provide a variety of entertainment and activities advertised in the Little Skippers Club’s ‘mini’ version of the Daily Times. A kids pool will have designated times for kids.
To find out from those who cruise, or share your knowledge join your favourite ships chat and community page on Facebook.
There is a help page on the Fred Olsen site, the best way to find the current information is type ‘children’ in the search box. If a cruise is exclusively adult it will state it. Click here. As far as we understand it, kids club does not apply to the new River Cruise program. The boat is smaller and is a different experience.

Most of the Cruise lines have great family sections, we show you some of the areas in the Britannia film. So much so you rarely see children even on family cruises. SEE THE CRUISE BEFORE YOU CRUISE THE SEA. Please follow us on Facebook and Twitter and share. Most cruise operators will offer the Baltic as a cruise.
If you think you might be pregnant then see out blog on cruising while pregnant.
