Christmas at Cruise-ville

Although the Britannia was dressed for Christmas when we were on her late November – it felt too early for us to start getting excited. Now, we have started our run up to Christmas. In our Cruise In Just a Minute series, released each Friday evening – we posted Oslo Christmas Market first.

Next Friday will be Hamburg Christmas Market, and then on Christmas Eve Copenhagen.

There are many Christmas films on the Doris Visits YouTube site.

Perhaps you might subscribe, we might hit 8000 subscribers on YouTube before the end of the year. We had hoped to hit 7ooo this year but have surpassed that…. lets see if we can hit the 8k before the end of the year.

Thinking of Christmas? Whether you are cruising or not, you may like to decorate with a nautical theme. We took a look at what is available, and a few answers are below in the first of our Christmas blogs. Click the picture to go to the item.

These are stickers.  It appears the most Christmas-like decorations are stickers and they come in packets of 16.

So far, we have scheduled 5 cruises for next year, trying to find new ports to video. Having hit as many as we could have hoped for we will now book in returns to some old faithfuls. I will report over the holidays.

We also had our Christmas outing here at Doris Visits. It cost as much as a short cruise, and it made us realise how lucky we are just strolling from the cabin to dinner, then the theatre, then a drink with friends, before a walk back to the cabin. Cruise life is wonderful – but we did have a Michelin star meal and the best show I have ever seen.
