The Carnival Vista, voted best new ship, is heading for Galveston where it will base whole bunches of fun. Since Carnival Vista’s the biggest ship ever to sail from Texas, the size of the fun will be Texas size so Carnival say, ‘get ready for fun that matches’. The Vista has the exhilarating on board SkyRide, a real IMAX theater, and even an onboard brewery! Carnival Vista has a whole new relationship to the sea, it is big fun. Flying bicycles? Yes. The SkyRide at SportSquare is a twin-track suspended bike course! Strap in and race around for great views. The Havana Bar & Pool has an island retreat that evokes classic Cuban-style lounging with an emphasis on style… and on views. Carnival WaterWorks includes the Kaleid-O-Slide which adds funky light and color effects to the usual “speed-n-splash”.

Food – try Guy’s Burger Joint and Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse. Bonsai Sushi or the seaside Seafood Shack offer fare from the ocean, while JiJi Asian kitchen and Cucina del Capitano are prepared to satisfy cuisine-specific cravings. The RedFrog Pub has a fully-functional onboard brewery that produces exclusive craft beers you can enjoy just feet from the brewing kettle.

Carnival Vista features a Dr. Seuss Bookville and youth activities for all kinds of kids (the smallers, the tallers and the in-betweens). Or relax at the Serenity Adult-Only Retreat, the grown-up spot that is also a feature on the P&O ships.

On the stateroom side, Carnival Vista adds two new types of rooms to the mix: Family Harbor is a special area reserved for families and features a private lounge. All Havana staterooms and suites are located just off the Havana Bar & Pool and feature a unique tropical décor, while Havana Cabanas add a patio with hammock chair!
