Boyslife at the Limelight on the Britannia – first class entertainment

Brian McFadden of Westlife fame and Keith Duffy from popular band Boyzone take their sell-out tour to sea and get up close and personal on board the Britannia. Keith Duffy was in last year’s reality TV cookery programme, Battlechefs, which was filmed in the cookery class area and foodie area on board. They appeared at the Britannia‘s Limelight club on the famous Mediterranean route the stars love as they can get home fast, the Mediterranean or Strictly Come Dancing Route. The pair told untold stories from their days on the road in this interact surrounding as well as singing popular Westlife and Boyzone hits such as ‘No Matter What’ and ‘Flying Without Wings’ (see below).  Both Westlife and Boyzone were multi-platinum, record-breaking bands from the late 1990s onwards. During Brian’s time in Westlife, the band secured a record seven straight Number 1 singles and 12 UK and Ireland Number 1 singles in total, as well as four Number 1 albums. Brian’s own debut solo ‘Real To Me’ topped the charts across Europe, becoming one of the biggest radio airplay hits of the year. Keith has enjoyed incredible success with Boyzone during the second half of the 90s.

P&O Cruises senior vice president Paul Ludlow said: ‘At P&O Cruises, we are constantly looking at new ways in which we can enhance the experience of our guests. Our guests already enjoy world-class entertainment onboard all our ships, but I believe they will be especially excited to see such a high-profile act as Boyzlife in the intimate setting of Britannia’s Limelight Club.’

The Limelight club normally rotates four menus, it is a three course menu because you are there to watch an act, it is like a speakeasy.
