Port Vendres is a Mediterranean fishing port, mainly trawlers and smaller craft, at the foot of the Albères mountain, situated near the Spanish border on the Côte Vermeille in southwestern France. Two miles north is Paulilles Bay which should not be missed. It is a conserved area within a former dynamite works, where there is an exhibition of working life in bygone days. An area of biking, hiking and bird watching. The port sits between two large beach areas, Collioure and Banyuls-sur-Mer.
If the locals are trying to sell something, it is because it is an attraction. Some good, some manufactured. By looking at the tours offered
locally you can research what there is to be seen. Look at the options below! Although we found no tours for the exact area, the nearest hub was the port of Roses.
