ITALY

The Mediterranean Season presents us with our largest and most exciting no-fly summer season. Italy almost always features in it, and it offers such a selection of interests from art to ruins, from beaches to Venice.

Italy’s capital is Rome. It is the home to the Vatican which is not part of Italy. There, and in other areas, there are ancient ruins. Florence is famous for Renaissance masterpieces such as Michelangelo’s “David” and Brunelleschi’s Duomo. Pisa is leaning, and Venice is a city of canals and waterways.

To use this port as a stop in which to Venice needs consideration, because Venice is 3 hours away, that is 6 hours in a coach. It means Trieste is often a long day, but that still makes Venice a short trip. Plus, Trieste, the coffee capital of Italy has more than enough for a few visits.
