Ships. Royal Caribbean Cruises have closed the SkySea Cruise Line brand and the line’s sole ship SkySea Golden Era will join the Marella fleet in place of Mein Schiff 2, which will stay with TUI Cruises. The SkySea is also a Century Class ship (see her film here) and will be the second of these two Century Class ships at Marella and based in Naples part of the year. The Dream is based in the Canary Islands in winter and Majorca in the summer. These will open up new routes in Asia and there will be 14 new adult only routes and two ships will be based in the Caribbean for the Caribbean Season next year. The Marella Explorer is likely to be based in Barbados for the winter season. New to cruising, see our blog on the true cost of cruising for what a cruise really costs.
