MARELLA DISCOVERY 2 ship tour made for Doris Visits

What a great ship! A what a great video tour made for us by two members of our chat group.

TUI Marella Cruises took ownership of this ship in 2017, it was previously the leader of the Vision Class ships operated by Royal Caribbean. It is the sister ship of the Discovery, so they are very similar. The restyling for Marella has made her a wonderful ship with a whole new life. It is seen here in a video made by Lesley and Chris, two of our Marella Chat and Doris Visits followers. It has an outdoor cinema and a rock climbing wall, a minigolf course, an indoor pool and a glossy atrium.

It has seven bars and seven excellent dining options, as well as top-class entertainment. So you could watch either or both films to get an idea of the ship. Discovery 2 also has the Kora La, a fine dining experience at a slight premium. Renowned chef Ian Pengelley offers his duck and a watermelon salad in a menu that has a heritage in the south and east Asia, featuring dishes like Indian spiced king prawns, and Indonesian beef rendang curry. An additional fine dining option is the à la carte Surf n Turf – which specialises in the likes of marbled steaks and meaty lobster tails. Meat, fish and plenty to satisfy a vegetarian palate. Check with the terms when booking, but TUI Discovery, TUI Discovery 2 are All Inclusive as standard that means drinks, including prosecco and cider, are included. Flights and tips are both parts of the package, too. You can cruise frugally and it can cost money, read our TRUE COST OF CRUISING
