Christened in New York by Liza Minnelli the ship now likes to winter in the Canary Islands, the subject of the first Solo Cruiser book. Ever since 1992 this ship has had a little Majesty about it. Now the TUI Majesty it serves up a masterclass in elegance to 1,462 passengers. A great size for those who want a smallish ship but big enough to have some extra facilities. This ship is all about classically-styled bars and lounges made for after-dinner tipples, and a sumptuous spa and beauty salon with a menu of his ‘n’ hers treatments. It feels like a couples ship. There is a pick of 5 restaurants including the elegant Four Seasons restaurant with waiter service. Fine dining option at a small premium is Le Bistro restaurant, a menu with a Gallic accent – think lobster thermidor and crêpes suzette. The ship offers a mix of entertainment from talented musicians and guest acts. We are sure you will enjoy relaxing in the Observatory Bar looking out with a cocktail.

READ THE CRUISE BEFORE YOU CRUISE THE SEA. In the book charts, SOLO CRUISER BOOK SERIES. Violet Becket has never cruised. In fact, she has been nowhere in a long time. Too long. Book 1, Virgin Voyage has been in the book charts for some weeks now.

Violet has never had romance, never ever. As an older woman time is running out and she needs to make a change. This romantic read is based around cruises because once she cruises she loves it. That is her romance, well, there is a little more. Sally Katz used the films on Doris Visits to peg her books on! With permission. Each is a good read but there has yet to be a book based in this region, even though each book takes place on a cruise! Book 1 is a Canary Islands cruise, Book 2 is in the Baltic, Book 3 is in the Caribbean, and Book 4 goes from the ABC islands through the Panama Canal.
