This might make your skiing easier and better ….. questions
Do you get tired when you ski hard? Are your knees a little worn? Are you, like me, the wrong side of 60 and still want to ski? I suggest you might consider in investing in something that will improve your skiing, make it easier to ski, and mean you can ski all day without being so tired, and they are super fun. SPRINGS ! This is power assisted skiing !
They claim that the mojo is specially developed using medical insights. Ski~Mojo is a device that uses spring recoil technology to take up to a third of the strain off the legs and knees by providing kinetic energy to assist leg extension. Ski~Mojo supplements the power of the leg muscles, this in turn reduces impact, substantially delays muscle fatigue and alleviates leg and knee pain. The Ski~Mojo works like an exoskeleton for the legs consisting of a lightweight comfortable harness with neoprene knee supports containing powerful springs. Worn under ski pants the Ski~Mojo is so neat and discreet that no-one would know it is being worn, which is why some skiers don’t reveal their secret weapon. I can just tell you they saved me from giving up and I ski with two replacement knees.
The Mojo’s makers argue that the Mojo improves your ski technique by pushing your hips forward, and I do feel a bit lost with my Mojo switched off, particularly when carving my turns. if you watched the Magic Roundabout and saw Zebedee, then that is like skiing with Mojo’s. Gravity takes you down to bent knees, springs pop you up! And no one knows you are wearing them. No one knows you are cheating… or just having fun and protecting your knees. I can say I was at the state where I could not ski, the pain had tears in my eyes and my son who knows I adore skiing bought me a pair. After the inevitable double knee replacement some 6 years ago I was skiing gentle between bars tens weeks to the day after the operation. I know I was an athlete and a stuntman so work my body and recover, but I have been skiing on those metal knees and these Mojos for 6 years. I cannot speak highly enough about them. They do not pay me a penny to say this, they just got me skiing again!
I am going to wait until the 6th January before skiing this season……
If you wonder who I am, and who might be springing up behind you on the slope, take a look here.
You have arrived at a ski page on a Cruise site, so if you have never cruised take a look around. Can I suggest starting here.
