As we have just focussed on the Fred Olsen version of this money back offer for those who do not like the cruise. We felt we had to mention that SAGA ran the same offer for some time but also have some other great promises. Now they do change, so you must check, but the one we like is that if they ever reduce a price, they promise you they will work out the difference. Below is a paste from the July 2019 page.
Saga’s Brexit Promise
Brexit is plain sailing with Saga Cruises!
Book any cruise before August and we guarantee the price today will be the price you pay when you sail. But you must book by August 31, 2019.
- Should Brexit affect prices later, they will not be passed on to you
- Plus, your booking is protected by ATOL and ABTA
- Our prices include optional travel insurance as standard
- No flying – Most of our cruises sail from and return to Dover or Southampton
- Don’ t worry about exchange rates – our on-board currency is Sterling
Rest assured you will not be impacted by Brexit… we guarantee it!
^Book any cruise by August 31, 2019 and we guarantee the price of your holiday will not be increased once booked (unless you amend your booking). This is a limited-time guarantee that supersedes any conflicting price terms in Saga’s booking conditions relating to Brexit. This offer applies to new bookings only. We reserve the right to amend all offers at any time without notice.

The highest SAGA discount appears to be 35% and some areas of the ship have discounts attached. Like restricted view seats in a theatre, there is always a reason for this.
DRESS CODE What to wear on SAGA ocean cruises? They do not claim to enforce strict dress codes on any of our cruises. However, their guest do dress and they state – ‘getting smartly dressed up for the occasional formal night has long been part of the fun of cruising. So make sure you do have your gladrags packed too.’ They then state that casual means smart casual in the evenings and have, like most ships 2 formal nights a week which they suggest is a glamorous long dress or sequinned shall and a dinner jacket and bow tie are the ‘ultimate in sophistication‘ their words.
