Cromer, the UK holiday resort of Kings. Nearest Cruise port: Harwich (Fred Olsen)

King Edward VII pretended to play golf at the Royal Cromer Golf Club, so I found myself there researching Lillie Langtry and then doing a film on Cromer then finding Churchill hated it and then links to the war. Cromer has both royal and wartime history though no cruise port. One of the nearest deep ports is Felixstowe which, is mainly a container port, so we have attached the Cromer film there. Our Cromer film is well worth a watch. I show the hotel where Lillie went and stayed with the King while he pretended to be playing golf. I also discover another one inland they used as well as an interesting story about Winston Churchill. Cromer was a very famous English seaside town, it has a pier and a fantastic beach. You may be driving past this little piece of history to catch a cruise ship at Harwich, if so, do stop and take a look.
