RCI boasts it has more state-of-the-art technology, world-class dining and spectacular entertainment than any other cruise ship in the world. Emma Wilby is the ships Godmother and Jamie Oliver sets the pace in cuisine. It has its very own art installation – a 10-metre tall carbon fibre giraffe called Gigi sporting swimsuit. Gigi presides over deck 15 making her higher than the Statue of Liberty. From interactive dancing robots to West End-calibre shows in the Royal Theatre, where the technology is just as impressive as the production. Shows have included We Will Rock You, based on the music of Queen, We Will Rock You is a funny, fast-paced rock and roll adventure from start to finish. Then, just like the London Eye, there is the chance to get a bird’s eye view of the ship or spot your destination before you even reach land. In a bubble, you ascend 300ft above sea level for 360 views that will take your breath away and it is free. Then there are the dodgem cars, yes, all the fun of the fair because this is a fun ship. There is no doubt the ship means fun.Tech specs: at just under 350 meters long it rises 18 decks, 16 are passenger decks and hold 4180 passengers which can go to 4,900 in certain configurations. Launched in 2015 it travels comfortably at 22 knots. The ship tends to stay round the Americas, sailing down the New England route, including Boston, New York, Baltimore, Charleston and the Bahamas & Bermuda. It then covers the Caribbean Islands like Barbados, Antigua, St Lucia and all the others listed in our menu. Take a look at your holiday first.
