AKUREYRI, Iceland overview from the air by DRONE

60 miles south of the Artic circle, AKUREYRI in Iceland has as you would expect, frosty scenery, old churches, friendly people, but it also has a cosmopolitan feel, many coffee shops and an art scene. It has some of the best weather in Iceland, allowing a successful  first class Botanical Gardens with more than 2,000 plant species. Tours feature the scenery and nature, with 18 species of whales including minkes and killer whales. Please the spectacular ‘Waterfall of the Gods’ at Godafoss. The Godafoss is closely connected with one of the most important events in Icelandic history, the conversion to Christianity from heathendom or “the old custom” in the year 1000. Take a look at our wonderful low flying drone film that will show you it all.
